Day 1: Raleigh, NC to Millersville, MD

314 miles

I left today. Bruce and I sang 'Born to Run' as I got on Capital Boulevard headed north. (personally I think I sound better than he does but he wrote it so whatever). There was good weather for driving, partly cloudy with no rain. The only stop I made was to snap a pic of my first state-line-crossing.
Yes, that is a tractor trailer on my American flag (which I got at a flea market in the Czech Republic.)
I arrived in Millersville MD (45 minutes northeast of DC) at around 9:00pm. I think the whole house was already asleep but they were nice enough to not make me feel too bad about it. I am staying with Lina (my cousin) and her husband Daniel and their three children Joey, Timmy, and Kristy. My aunt Kathryn and her boyfriend Tim are also staying for the weekend to help out around the house.
DC tomorrow!

  1. Johnny, don't worry about the sheets, that pee stain came out with no problem, and we won't tell your parents about crying yourself to sleep, or about that thing with Misti either. Love, Uncle Daniel.
